Your office outfits can be fun and chic. Learn how

Office outfits don’t have to be boring. You can make any type of outfit in any office environment fun and desirable. How, you wonder ? Keep on reading to find out how I spice up my outfits and I hope I can inspire you to change the way you think about office clothing. Below are my 5 tips and some of my favorite online stores to get them.

1. Add a necklace

Any outfit comes to life with the appropriate necklace. The best part about this is that it doesn’t have to be expensive. You can find super affordable jewelry in almost any clothing store. Add this piece of jewelry to any piece of clothing: shirt, dress, or even to a t-shirt. You will notice the transformation right away and you’ll leave your coworkers wondering what’s so special about your outfit.

2.  Chose an embellished piece of clothing or one that has some sort of tasteful print of your choice.( Skull prints are perhaps not your best choice unless you work in an office where everyone around you wears them with pride). Take, for example, a plain top versus one that has some sort of beads or rhinestones in good taste. All of a sudden your whole outfit is transformed and your coworkers are green with envy because they don’t own such a piece in their wardrobe. Or I am sure you’ve seen shirts with prints in almost any clothing store. Choose one, add a plain blazer and voila - you have the recipe for a fun office combo!

3. Why not wear heels ? 

Ok, I know exactly what went through your mind when you read this suggestion - “ Are you crazy ? I have to walk, drive, perhaps run errands in heels ? Hell, no ! “ . Hear me out first. Perhaps I have the right pair of shoes in mind that will make all of your concerns go away and you eager to give them a try and thank me later for all the compliments you got. My solution for you ? Kitten heels or chunky heels. They give you the comfort you like while elevating your look at the same time. Check out some shoes below that I’d wear to work, drive in them and run as many errands as I like without any ouches or “God, what I was thinking when I put these on?” .

4. Add a pop of color 

Imagine the world without color. Would you like to wake up every day and see neutral colors all around you? Or how about the days when you pull the curtains and all you see are gloomy skies and bare trees? Through analogy that’s what a neutral outfit looks like. Color adds livelihood and draws interest. All it takes is one piece of clothing of a popping color and you look chic and fun at the same time. It could be a cobalt blue blazer, a green belt or pink shoes. You decide !

To make all of this come true, there’s a last and probably very important piece of advice I must share -  get your outfit ready for the next day at least the night before (I know asking you to do it over the weekend is pushing it).
